The Interdisciplinary PhD programme in AI for Engineering trains researchers to apply artificial intelligence methods across engineering domains. Candidates complete a shared professional core in research ethics, advanced AI paradigms, and mathematical modelling, then specialise through one of eight engineering tracks spanning energy, information & computing, geology & mining, construction, mechanical, bio-medical, food/light industry & design, and physics & chemical engineering. The programme finishes with supervised research projects, a professional comprehensive examination, a doctoral dissertation, and its defence — 70 credits over 3 years.
